The 2010 WWE Draft

Okay, I'm watching this week's Raw with the WWE Draft and it's a long one at 3 hrs. No guest host tonight?

On a side note, over the last year I've found it increasingly hard for any WWE show to hold my attention. Frankly, there's much more interesting material on YouTube and tonight's Raw hasn't changed my viewing habits. It took 5 seconds of watching The Miz bad mouth Brett Hart before I was distracted by a few clips from the new-ish "Kick-Ass" film

I come back and Marise is getting pinned by whats-her-name (does it really matter?). Smack Down has the first Draft Pick and they get Kelly Kelly. Poor King will miss her until the next "Kelly Kelly" comes along

Anywho, Big Show's been drafted to SD after Punk gets a pin on that flippity flip "he's been buried" guy (otherwise known as Evan Bourne)

While we're at it let's just say this isn't going to be a very detailed account of Raw. I'm posting this, searching the net, and popping back to the TV in the other room so I'm bound to miss stuff

Battle Royal time and it's a good one! Rey's thrown out by Ted DiBiase who gets 3 Draft Picks for Raw: John Morrison, R-Truth, and Edge! Wasn't expecting Edge to get drafted but then he could always be drafted back to SD. In a way this could be a way to end the Edge-Jericho feud. Who knows :s

Jericho's out doing what he's best at... getting heat. Go Jericho! He's hating on Christian's rookie from NXT. Christian's out and that reminds me of something - Edge and Christian are now on Raw. Could this be the return of ENC Version 2? I guess we'll see

Back to the match. Jericho gets a solid win on Christian so SD gets another Draft Pick (Kofi Kingston). Jericho also puts the code breaker on Christian's rookie to seal his status as an uber-heel. But, then that doesn't last long as Kofi runs into the ring and throws a slice of "Trouble on Paradise" in his face (Y2J will put anyone over and that's one of the reasons why I like him)

Swagger gets the pin on Morrison in what seemed like a pretty good match. I think I'll add that Swagger's new character, all quiet and moody, isn't working for me. I prefer his cocky and loud character verses this "champion" one. Anyways, SD gets another pick and unfortunately for ENC fans it's Christian. Yep, the dream's over! Maybe we'll see CNC instead (Chris and Christian). Their "1 Canadian Dollar Bet" is still classic. Slight problem over Christian being a face but it wouldn't take much to change that ;)

Ted has a Million Dollar Belt

Boring match up next which results in Y2J being drafted to Raw. No CNC either then. Errr. This is bad for SD - Edge and Jericho now on Raw. WTF? I'm going to Melbourne in a few months to watch SD live and now who's left? Hmm

So lets skip to the end of the main event (a triple threat) with Randy, Sheamus and Batista. Edge runs in and smashes Randy. This gives Batista an easy pin on him. Now here's my problem - is Raw so bad it causes guys to turn heel on a dime?

You know - I'd really like to say Raw has jumped the shark tonight but to be honest wrestling shows can do it several times in one episode. Case in point. To be fair the Draft concept is exciting but it almost always plays in favor of Raw

In summary, SD got royally... well, you know

I guess my gripe is this - how is this supposed to put bums in seats and attract viewers to SD if they're gonna take the best talent and not equally replace them. Dumb, just, dumb

Friendly Yet Evil Blog Spammers and the WWE Draft (soon)

What's up everyone,

Long time no post. Anyways, I've noticed a surge in spam over the last few days so I've decided to get this puppy going again and put an end to these really friendly but still evil evil people. Haha. Sorry folks but only certain users can post to this blog now. Muahaha.

In other news - the WWE had the Draft this week. I haven't seen it yet but will post my thoughts here tomorrow night.

Not sure what's happening with the BTB Show. Lenaire's not keen and Michael's Awol. Last I heard he was getting a Flippety Flip Flip HD (or similar camera) from the US and he'll post vids then. I guess we'll see. On my side, I have the latest 21.5" iMac - much better than my old Pentium 4 - but no decent video editing software to boot. iMovie won't work since it refuses to load my iPhoto video clips. In other words, I'm kind of grounded. No worries folks. I'll figure something out ;)

That's all for now. Stay tuned for my WWE Draft thoughts

PS: Am I the only one who thought last week's NXT was too "American Gladiator" for comfort? "What's up with that!", Shane Helms

Regards, Cliff
