Over the last week I've had a poll running entitled "The New ECW Announcer (Mike Adamle) Sucks!" with four separate options:

• Yes, he sucks!
• No, he rocks!
• Undecided, give him some time
• EC.. Wha? Who cares!

Here are the results: 4 votes said he sucks, 1 said he rocks, none for undecided, and 1 for EC.. Wha?

With astronomical numbers like that WWE as of right now Mike Adamle, the new play-by-play man for ECW, sucks. Now, bring back Joey Styles from his so-called "promotion" god dammit!

Here's a little sneak peak into the number one wrestling commentary show on the lostinz youtube channel ever - Below the Belt (okay, it's the only one on my channel. lolz). The picture above is the view from behind the camera and what happens while I'm setting my gear up which can take up to 30mins. blah, and yes! In case you didn't know Michael's an idiot. lolz. jk

Okay, Heel Cliff character aside you can see everything required to make a Below the Belt episode possible such as my video camera, laptop (that I use to record the episodes on), the library room we've booked, and even the library room computer I use to keep track of time. Something I do extremely well.. okay, terribly. haha. And, of course I almost forgot to mention my fellow co-hosts Lenaire and Michael

Hi everyone!

Last night's shoot was awesome! Not nearly as silly as last week (okay, maybe we were just a bit) and a little more prepared than usual we filmed SIX episodes with a nice mix of topics from Top 10 lists to issues within the WWE

I prepared the episode descriptions before we filmed, further improving how we (or maybe how I) do things in the Pre-Production and Post-Production stages, so I can tell YOU exactly what we covered without having to recall or rewatch the episodes.. even though I have!

Now, before I do that you may have noticed I've got "Hiatus" in the title above. What that means is next week we won't be filming anything *gasps* hence we're taking a one-week hiatus. This is due to other commitments we have and since we're a show of three there's no show unless we're all available, BUT we'll be back the week after!

Naturally, this coming Monday is Backlash and we'll miss the opportunity to post a Review straight after the event. No worries! We'll do one in all good time. Patience is a virtue so start now. lolz. jk

Anyways, we've got more than enough content to cover the next two weeks. For example, I've still got one more vid from last week and six new episodes from this week. That's alot! Not nearly as much as you've gotten in the last week but still good, right?

In Ep 19, we discuss the Big Show as an asset to the WWE and which brand should utilize him

Last night's shoot went really well. Maybe a little too well as we did alot of silly stuff during episodes. I'll cut those out and possibly put them into a future out-takes vid, although I'm considering dropping the idea of out-takes based on a rating I got for episode 15.5
Let me know what you think? I care about you, the fans, and what you want. Not some loser hater passerby that doesn't "get" the show

Anyways, we filmed five episodes (16 - 20) and one news special. That's alot of content to go over and I'll post some spoilers as soon as I've had a chance to watch them again

You may have noticed some changes to my channel. I've renamed almost all my videos (for the "Below the Belt" and "2007 SIFE World Cup Trip" series). This is because YT has a word limiting feature on the videos page. Hence you'll only see part of the title and maybe the episode number. Not very helpful if you only remember the topic or title. Hmm

Anyways..
In order to make it easier for you, the viewer, I changed "Below the Belt" to "BTB". The show's name hasn't changed at all, it's just for this purpose. And also, "2007 SIFE World Cup Trip" has been changed to "07SWCT". Likewise the name isn't different it's just for this purpose

I hope this makes your life just that tiny bit better

Okay, I've just finished editing episode 15 and it was a toughy. The clip originally ran over the 10 min limit but I was just able to get it under. Phew. I really didn't want to post another 2-parter so, YT people-in-charge-people would you please give me a "real" Director's account without the time limits please! Cheerios!

The bits I left out were very funny but didn't need to be in there. Instead I'll be posting them as a separate out-takes / missing commentary episode. Perhaps a minisode 15.5

A bit of info on the clip. It's our first ever video response (to mickhellion85) on our top 10 favorite wrestlers of all time

His video's entitled "100 greatest wrestlers", and yeah with three of us (3 x 100 = 300) that would span several hundred episodes so we opted for just 10 each. You might want to check his vid out now while you're waiting for ours

Well, rendering can be a real pain in Premiere. For a 5-min clip it took over an hour to make the finished video, but anyways the latest installment of BTB is done and I'm uploading it now!

I think it's also great in terms of entertainment value. Not just the cut-off point from Pt 1 but also our other predictions, and I've also added another out-take moment. It's slotted onto the end so this vid ends differently than the others. Unfortunately, I've used all the out-take moments for this ep so I don't think I'll have anything for a future combined out-takes vid for 14. Oh well, I guess it was too good not to show you now :)

Anyways, I think change is good especially on YT so I think I'll spruce things up every now and again to make the intros and outros a little more exciting and unpredictable

So now that this one's done it's onto Ep 15

Well, I'm uploading BTB 14 (1 of 2) as we speak and I just love it. Particularly the beginning. You'll see why soon, but it'll remind you of the out-takes videos I posted a while ago

Anyways..
This one is juicy. In it we discuss our predictions for the matches and also the winners for the up and coming Backlash PPV. Quite similar to the one we did on the Draft although I think I prefer this one for its pure entertainment value

Combined, both parts 1 and 2 totalled 11 mins yet unlike Ep 13.5 I couldn't extract something out as a separate minisode. Errr. Part 2 will be up tomorrow night

I'll be uploading 2007 SIFE World Cup Trip - Pt 14 (1 of 2) today simply entitled.. Disneyland. My favorite episode yet as it has been my dream since I was a kid to go there

Unlike my lucky American counterparts it is next to impossible to go to Disneyland from New Zealand. It costs literally thousands of dollars for a trip like that and.. thank god.. I got to go last year. Woot!

Stay tuned for this episode. It's very rushed unlike the California Adventure vids as there was so much to see and so little time. It was also alot busier at Disneyland. Oh, the memories

Anyways..
It won't be the last time I go to Disneyland because I'm going back to the US of A next year, baby! I'm saving now to go to Wrestlemania 25. The silver jubilee of Wrestling's biggest event on the planet. Michael, if you're out there. What do you think? Lenaire's more keen than I am, and I'm pretty keen. Woot!

Well, Ep 13.5 (yep, 13.5) is up! It was originally a part of Ep 13 but I couldn't fit it into the 10 min YT limit and I also felt considering how short it is that it didn't warrant separating Ep 13 into 2 parts so there you go!

This episode addresses the question of whether the Draft really matters anymore considering that wrestlers from all 3 brands are often seen on all three shows such as CM Punk and others

It's a very good short 2-min vid with a slight change to the format. It has a different theme song which I borrowed from Adobe Soundbooth. The song plays throughout the whole vid, is copyright free so I don't need to credit the owner, and is a nice change

Well, I uploaded BTB 12 (1 of 2) last night, went to sleep (because it can take around 2 hrs to upload one of these vids), woke up this morning and was pleasantly surprised that it already had views, a comment, and ratings. Even better.. it wasn't takblek, who happens to be one of the commentors :p

This is encouraging news for the team who do this because we're all passionate about wrestling so thank you everyone for your support!

Now for the upcoming episodes..

As you may (or may not) know we film multiple episodes during a shoot, usually on Tuesdays, as this is the best time for us to get together and the best way to do as many episodes as we do. Yesterday we filmed four episodes (BTB 12-15). Some of these maybe broken up into multiple parts such as BTB 12, but as full topics we filmed four

The first is a given since I've uploaded part of it already. It's our Review of Wrestlemania 24 - The Bestest All-time Ever Review of Wrestlemania 24! Lots of hilarious moments in this one so stay tuned for part 2

On a side-note, it's taking considerably longer (up to x12 longer) to render videos in Premiere Pro than it did in VideoStudio (so what took 10 mins now takes 30 mins - 2 hrs) so I won't be uploading new vids as much as before. So rather than every other day. It'll be every other other day. You shouldn't notice much of a difference unless you're refreshing your page on my channel every time you jump on the net. Go you. Woot!

On another side-note, you've seen the last update to the show, I promise. The latest change is we're now in widescreen/letterbox format. This is how we've always filmed except when I used VideoStudio to capture our footage it stretched it vertically whereas Premiere either lets you cut off the ends (Pan & Scan) or use a letterbox format. Since I'd like Michael and I to be in the shot I opted for the later. lolz

I'm pleased with how everything looks now so no more changes.. at least for a while :p

Back to our upcoming episodes, in 13 and 14 we answer a user submitted question (takblek) and give our predictions for the upcoming Draft and Backlash PPV, and in 15 we do a video response to another user and one of our subsribers (mickhellion85). In this one we cover our top 10 favorite all-time wrestlers

These are some really awesome episodes and I can't wait to put them together for you to see

I'm in the process of uploading the latest episode of BTB (ep 11)
This one centers around backstage politics in the WWE so it's bound to be controversal, and in fact.. since we film "off the cuff" we're bound to have a few factual errors in there too, but who cares! This is damned good entertainment and as Michael likes to say in a quote from Eric Bishoff's book, "Controversy creates cash!"

The last few days have been pretty full-on (aside from other commitments) so it's taken me a little longer than usual to post BTB Episode 10, and here's why...

As of Ep 10 I'll be using Adobe Premiere (AP) to edit the show. You'll begin to notice some slight changes and improvements from here on. I've tried to retain the general look and feel so hopefully the upgrade won't be too OTT :)

Part of what took so long is: I had to learn how to use AP first, then I had to redo everything (intro, outro clips and their music, other titles, and more) in AP so that it looked consistent with what you're used to but, now that the hard part's out of the way it should be considerably easier to make future episodes!

Ep 10 will be up shortly. Tell me what you think of the "new" show! BTB 2.0.. woot!

If you've just signed up and you want to know what's up with this.. lostinz ..channel here's your chance!

lostinz is a username I carried over from the official lost forum. My name was supposed to mean "lost in new zealand". Now it means something different. What that is I can't say. I don't exactly love the name, but I'm getting subscribers now so it's here to stay!

Here's some info on the different shows I'm producing at the moment:

BELOW THE BELT:
Arguably my most popular show. It's a pro-wrestling (mostly WWE) commentary, news and review show featuring Lenaire, Michael, and myself (Clifton). It was born about a month ago when I was thinking about the conversations we would have as a group which revolved around what's happening in the WWE. I told Lenaire and Michael about the concept I had for an interview show where I would ask them questions about something wrestling related. They liked the idea and agreed to being filmed for the show on youtube. Lenaire came up with the name which I loved and the rest, as they say, is history!

2007 SIFE WORLD CUP TRIP:
This series is my "master-piece"-in-work travel vlog (video blog). It features the adventures my friends and I had in the United States last year. We began the trip in Auckland, left for New York where the SIFE World Cup was held, a massive international business competition (google it for more info), and from there we left for the last leg of the trip in Los Angeles

If you like the BTB videos you should at least like some of these. In fact, almost every episode ends in something funny happening and your favorite hosts of BTB are in there too (actually, by default I'm in all of them). This is a much more personal series for me. You'll love it, I promise, but you have to watch it from part-one in order to understand where we are in the "story". This may possibly mean listening to music you hate. lolz. I happen to love all styles of music and have tried to cover a little bit of everything from jazz to rap in this series :)

OTHER:
I take my camera everywhere I go! If I like something I'll usually edit and post it to YT. There's usually no "epic" story with these types of vids such as concerts, mega-mixes, and comedic sketches (such as the Maori Dalek) so they're either a once-off or just plain random, but then.. I guess, when it comes to a concert.. it is the story!

Everything I do I try to do professionally. I will probably never upload a purely unedited video. Although, since I've said it that would be an interesting challenge! To upload a video with no cuts, no editing, or anything and still be entertaining. Hmmm. Nah. lolz

THE GEAR I USE:
As a production team of one, I use:

• Asus A6U laptop (an oldee but a goodee) with 2 gigs of ram, Win XP Pro
• Ulead Videostudio 10+
• Sony Handycam (HDV) for BTB
• Panasonic Lumix still/video camera for all other work (07 SWCT, etc)
• 3-ft tripod

Most of what I do in my videos is self-taught, observation of what other people are doing with their videos or movies and intuition, and not what software or gear I have. If I could've used Movie Maker I would've except my first camera (lumix) only makes quicktime movies
