WHUT?! The WWE is NOT in the wrestling business

Despite a claim from WWE publicist, Kellie Baldyga, that "We [WWE] are no longer a wrestling company but rather a global entertainment company with a movie studio", blah, Blah, and BLAH! a follow-up email does little to change her original view to "we [WWE] are a global media company" instead. Apparently this comes right from the top, Vince McMahon. Cue that spooky music from the "dramatic chipmunk" video.

The fact remains

WWE Superstars is Goneburgers, Cancelled by WGN

WWE Superstars has had a short but good run having debuted on April 16th, 2009. Unfortunately WGN has announced its cancellation with the last episode airing on April 7th, 2011 - just days short of its 2nd anniversary. Shows are usually cancelled due to high cost and low ratings with the latter being the proverbial nail to the equally proverbial coffin.

Jeff Hardy vs Sting at Victory Road '11

Wow. Now bear with me as we don't get TNA here but I just got word of the mainevent at TNA's "Victory Road" PPV and it's a doosy. The PPV was apparently really good right up until the last match. This Week on Raw (7/3)

Lenaire's been telling me all week to watch this week's Raw. She reckons it's... AWESOME. Not just one match but all of it. Raw
In regards to my previous post you should know by now who the Guest Host for this year's Wrestlemania (27) is. It's none other than... Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson. Yep! You heard it here last. Good for you!

Last week on Raw, John Cena brought back his "thug-a-nomics" darkside to what I'd call a resounding success. He outdid the Rock at his own game - talking the talk, walking the walk - on a microphone. He basically owned his candy ass.

This was the John Cena I loved (in a man-ly way of course) back in the day. The one who was angry and had so much to prove. He dissed everyone to get their attention and it worked! He's not angry anymore because he's on top of his game like all the rappers out there who rapped about living in the ghetto only to make millions and live the high life so have little to be angry about anymore. That's the PG-era for ya! Anyway...
